Special Announcement

With temperatures already surpassing 90 degrees, the Area Agency on Aging of South West Arkansas, Inc. is once again making an effort to ensure that our region's elderly residents don't fall victim to heat-related illnesses. Every year the agency collects and distributes fans to the elderly in its twelve county region. A large number of fans are obtained from the Arkansas Attorney General's office, but many more are needed. Standing fans provide the best relief.

To receive a fan, an individual must be 60 or older and have their names included on a registration list located at the agency office serving their county. Once the fans have been collected, the agency will begin calling those on the list in the order in which their names appear.

To donate a standing fan or money to purchase one, you may call the Area Agency on Aging at 870-234-7410 or call the case manager for the county of your choice which can be found by clicking on County Listings and then clicking on the county of your choice in red on the map.

We welcome the opportunity to serve you!
